Florida Professional Engineers
in Industry

FPEI provides a forum for discussion and action on problems of common interest to engineers employed in industry. Industry members work for a variety of engineering and energy companies, both private and public.

FPEI Awards

  1. The Governor’s New Product Award is presented to Florida inventors in the design and development of new products, machines, processes or materials. Selection of the winning entries is based on the sales & economic impact in the state of Florida, the innovative use of engineering principles, and the improved savings, productivity, energy efficiency and safety. Applications are accepted each Fall and winners are announced each Spring at the Annual Legislative Forum.
  2. FPEI Engineer of the Year recognizes an engineer who has made the most outstanding contribution to the advancement of engineers in industry.

FPEI Sustaining Firm Category

This category is open for industry engineering companies to join and support the profession. Annual FPEI Sustaining Firm membership dues are based on number of employees. Currently there are seven FPEI sustaining firms.
