A Message From FES President Ronald Colas
Dear fellow FES members,
In my last message, I invited you to honor our fellow engineers and celebrate their valuable contributions to our communities as we celebrated Engineers Week. Thank you for joining me in this celebration. In keeping with this spirit, I congratulate our Chapters Award Winners in the following Categories:
Engineer of the Year –Â Young Engineer of the Year –Â Outstanding Service to the Engineering Profession –Â Outstanding Technical Achievement
I encourage Chapters to nominate the winners to the annual 2024 FES Awards. Selection is made by the FES Awards Committee, and recipients will be recognized at our Annual Conference this summer. You can find all the annual award nomination forms on the Awards tab of our website. The deadline is March 15, 2024.
While we have wrapped up our Engineers Week celebration, we will continue to recognize the bright young minds who will one day contribute to the future of our profession. Later this month, on March 29th, we will have the Florida MATHCOUNTS State Competition in Orlando. We are looking for volunteers to help our staff and committee members. If you are interested in supporting, you can find more information and instructions on how to get involved on our website here.
