OpenRoads Designer and Connect Edition Applications

Description
This course is an overview of the FDOT Connect workspace for OpenRoads Designer. The goal of this course is to provide the user with an understanding of the FDOT workspace for OpenRoads Designer and an overview of the essential elements of the FDOT design environment as a prerequisite for further FDOT CADD training courses.

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of ORD
  • Knowledge of Microstation

Description
The training course details 3D bridge modeling workflow using Bentley product OpenBridge Modeler (OBM). To be in compliance with the Florida Department of Transportation CADD standard (FDOT CADD), this effort must also be accomplished within the FDOTConnect workspace. Starting with laying out a 3D bridge model, following up with plan development, and concluding with quantity reports, the participant is walked through a typical workflow using the available tools and features. Interspersed throughout are real-world detailing and design examples using the concepts in the course. Examples of data migration among different engineering disciplines are represented in the form of hands-on exercises.

Prerequisites

  • Production Support CADD Office
